Gilbert needs your help!
After wrapping up a busy holiday season, many food pantries throughout Gilbert need help restocking their inventories. From February 10 – 23, Gilbert Feeding Families is hosting its biggest community food drive of the year to support local families facing food insecurity.
In this annual food drive, Gilbert Feeding Families collects non-perishable foods and monetary donations for Gilbert families. In 2024, Gilbert Feeding Families collected 32,478 pounds of food and $25,303 in cash donations, resulting in 153,580 meals being served to the Gilbert community.
This year, almost 50 drop-off locations—including local churches, schools, and businesses, are kindly supporting the initiative. A complete list of the participating locations and maps are available at this link.
Several Gilbert restaurants are also participating in this initiative to celebrate the festivities. During the second weekend, participating restaurants donate a portion of their sales. Stop by to support the drive while enjoying a delicious meal.
If you can’t drop off food, don’t stress. United Food Bank is collecting monetary donations through our partnership with Gilbert Feeding Families. We highly encourage you to donate because $1 can help provide five meals for those in need. You can easily donate by clicking here.
This food drive, supported by the Gilbert community, is a good reminder that no one should go without a meal, especially in our supportive community. Your support is greatly appreciated, whether through food or monetary donations, dining at a participating restaurant or simply spreading the word.
