It’s Citrus season in Arizona, and in order to collect it, United Food Bank requires that UFB-trained gleaners pick the fruit. We are looking for volunteers willing to make a weekly, bi-weekly, or other shift commitment to pick fruit between now and mid-to-late March.Sign Up
The Food Bank receives food from many different streams, including bulk food. This “Family Night” we’re working exclusively with CHEERIOS! We’re taking a General Mills “OOPS!” and making the most of it.
WHAT YOU WILL DO: Join us to re-label a whole truck load mislabeled CHEERIOS. We need volunteers ages 8 and older with great sticker skills!Sign Up

WHAT YOU WILL DO: Volunteers will join us for training starting at 5:30 pm, then take over sorting through food donations–screening for quality, checking dates, packing them in boxes by category–to make them available to the more than 199 agencies we serve. Our goal is to sort 12,000 lbs of food – enough to make about 10,000 meals available! Each volunteer could potentially get us 400 lbs closer!Sign Up
Have a group that wants to have a team-building or service experience? We’d love to have you! Join us to serve the community. 3-4 hour shifts available*, mornings and afternoons, Monday – Thursday*. Want to help out with United Food Bank’s new Demonstration Seed Garden? Help is needed in a variety of ways, including building and painting garden frames, setting up drip irrigation systems, planting, watering, providing educational opportunities, manning our Seed Library desk on Friday mornings and preparing our seed collection for distribution. Volunteer Office Data Entry volunteers needed – Are you pretty fast on the keyboard? Or maybe a little slower, but really accurate? UFB is looking for 2-3 data entry volunteers to work a regular shift once a week. Ideal volunteers are comfortable with computer work, are comfortable asking for help, can work independently.
