Food Donation Sorting

Work with a team of volunteers screening food for quality, sorting into multiple categories and packaging for shipment. Ages 12 and up. Volunteer Sign-ups Available Last week of April for the week of May 11th going forward.

Group Volunteer Opportunities

Have a group that wants to have a team-building or service experience? We’d love to have you! Join us to serve the community. 3-4 hour shifts available*, mornings and afternoons, Monday – Thursday*. Plenty of openings in January, February and March! Plenty of need for lots of hands!

Garden Volunteers

Want to help out with United Food Bank’s new Demonstration Seed Garden? Help is needed in a variety of ways, including building and painting garden frames, setting up drip irrigation systems, planting, watering, providing educational opportunities, manning our Seed Library desk on Friday mornings and preparing our seed collection for distribution. Volunteer Office Data Entry Volunteers

Volunteer Office Data Entry volunteers needed – Are you pretty fast on the keyboard? Or maybe a little slower, but really accurate? UFB is looking for 2-3 data entry volunteers to work a regular shift once a week. Ideal volunteers are comfortable with computer work, are comfortable asking for help, can work independently. Court Ordered Community Service

If you need to do community service hours for a court-related matter, United Food Bank may be able to help you reach your hours. We are always looking for eager volunteers. Volunteers assist with building emergency non-perishable food boxes for individuals and families. This opportunity is scheduled on an as-needed basis.

Clerical Assistance

A clerical assistance volunteer works within the main office doing such clerical tasks as filing, typing letters and data entry. We especially need help stuffing envelopes now through the Holidays. A clerical volunteer can work Monday through Friday from 8am to 4pm.
