Phoenix, AZ – October, 13th 2021 – Today, Round Rock Restaurant Group, LLC announced that The Papa John’s Foundation for Building Community has awarded $40,000 of grants to organizations across the valley that were nominated by Round Rock Restaurant Group to support their work in strengthening our local community. $10,000 has been granted to United Food Bank to provide 50,000 meals to Arizona residents.
All Papa John’s in the valley are locally owned and operated and committed to serving the community. Through The Papa John’s Foundation for Building Community, we are able to help these organizations to continue to positively impact the very place that we all live, work and play.
Across the United States, The Papa John’s Foundation for Building Community is awarding nearly $1 million to more than 100 organizations, nominated by local Papa John’s franchisees, whose work supports the Foundation’s focus areas – youth leadership and entrepreneurship, food security, and food waste reduction. Earlier this year, Round Rock Restaurant Group joined other Papa John’s franchisees in applying for grants to support the work of these organizations in their respective communities.
“In times like these, charitable organizations are relied upon by the most vulnerable people in our communities, and we, in turn, rely on the support of our generous donors in order to provide hope in the form of food,” said Dave Richins, CEO of United Food Bank. “These funds donated by The Papa John’s Foundation will help us ensure that no family in Arizona goes hungry this season.”
“These grants from The Papa John’s Foundation for Building Community are our latest effort to deliver on three of our company’s core values – People First, Do the Right Thing and Everyone Belongs,” said Rob Lynch, president and CEO of Papa John’s. “The work of organizations that build and empower the next generation of leaders, fight hunger and reduce food waste is critical to our world’s future. We are proud to partner with franchise owners such as Round Rock Restaurant Group to support our shared goals of building healthier, stronger communities and creating new opportunities for the people who live in them.”
