United Food Bank’s primary focus has been to feed people in Arizona. Although it’s challenging for our staff and volunteers to be on the front lines of this pandemic, we continue to operate by mitigating the risks of exposure by following CDC guidelines. Thank you to all the volunteers that have helped us deliver more food than ever before.
With open hearts, our supporters have provided hope to Arizonans through this pandemic. We can’t thank you enough as we continue to navigate this crisis and fulfill our mission.
Updates
Food Delivered. In March, we delivered more than 2 million pounds of food—a 25% increase over February. We expect to provide the same amount or more in April.
Feeding Families. In March we moved our Friday food distributions to the Mesa Convention Center for a drive-thru style distribution. We’ve served more than 2,300 households (almost 10,000 individuals) last week—over four times more than average!
Getting the Word Out. We’ve been fortunate to receive local and national media coverage on United Food Bank, our communities and how people can help or get help during this pandemic. Thank you to Fox 10 Phoenix, ABC 15, 12 News, PBS News Hour, Associated Press, Johnjay and Rich, East Valley Tribune, AZ Central/Arizona Republic, KJZZ News and AZ Family (3TV/CBS 5).
How You Can Help
Volunteer. We continue to need healthy volunteers throughout April and May! Sign up at volunteeraz.org.
Share. Know someone in need of food assistance? Direct them to AZFoodBanks.org to find a food provider near them.
Give. Thank you to all our supporters and the local business who have been able to donate gloves, masks, food, moving vans, and so much more. Masks and monetary donations are most needed at this time. Donate at WeFeedAZ.org or start a fundraiser here.
Thanks for all your support!

Is there a location I can drop off box of food to help others in need?
Yes, at our Volunteer Center during business hours, Monday – Thursday at 358 E Javelina Ave. in Mesa. Thank you!
Any word on where the food box will be this Friday? It was at the Mesa Convention Center last Friday. Thanks! And be safe!

Hi,
If I did a food drive, would I still be able to drop the boxes off at the Volunteer Center Monday – Thursday at 358 E Javelina Ave.? Also, are there any items that you need in specific?
Yes, we’re still open and accepting donations. Any non-perishable food items are great. Our most needed items can be found here.
I have about 100 grapefruit. Would you accept them?
Sorry, we are no longer accepting citrus.
