June 23, 2020, YAVAPAI-APACHE NATION — United Food Bank, St. Mary’s Food Bank and Resolution Copper partnered today to deliver food assistance to more than 500 households (1,500 individuals) living on the Yavapai-Apache Reservation 110 miles north of Phoenix.
United Food Bank provided 33,000 pounds of water, flour and produce from a filled semi-truck, and St. Mary’s delivered a full box truck of 10,200 pounds of emergency food boxes of nonperishable foods to these families hard hit by the impact of COVID in this remote community.
The drive-through food distribution took place at Tunlii Community Center at 1520 E. Cherry Creek Road in Camp Verde, Ariz. United Food Bank and St. Mary’s Food Bank are part of the Feeding America nonprofit network of more than 200 food banks across the United States.
