Wells Fargo helps expand reach of food bank to serve people facing financial hardships and food insecurity.
Who/What:
Through the Wells Fargo Drive-Up Food Bank, the bank and United Food Bank will provide much-needed food items such as produce, bread, dairy, and frozen meats to families across the valley. The food distribution will take place every Wednesday through Aug. 26.
People will drive up to the distribution, remain in their vehicles, and pop open the trunks so volunteers can place groceries directly into vehicles. 300 or more families are expected to seek assistance every week.
Volunteers from United Food Bank and Wells Fargo will distribute the boxes of food.

No I.D. or information is required to receive food boxes. Clients must wear masks and clean the trunks of their vehicles. The food distribution will take place:

Why:
The COVID-19 pandemic has had a devastating impact on many families. Many people are struggling financially and facing tough choices between paying for food, shelter, or other necessities. Wells Fargo has a long-standing commitment to help local communities—and especially during challenging times. The bank is underwriting the meals and hosting food distribution at its properties in more than 20 cities across the country this summer. The overall goal of the program is to provide more than 50 million meals nationally. This effort is a small way to bring immediate relief to some hard-hit communities, providing a boost to remind each other we will get through this difficult time together.

We are glad to bring nourishment for many families and hope this modest gesture lifts spirits and reminds people that they are not alone.”
