THREE MILLION MEALS: Summer of a Million Meals Campaign hits and surpasses the goal.
(Mesa, AZ – September 21, 2022) – Each year, United Food Bank & Channel 12 News host the Summer of a Million Meals Campaign with the goal of raising one million meals to help feed Arizonans facing food insecurity. Over the course of 3 months, we watched the goal be met, then doubled and then tripled. Because of your support, United Food Bank has been able to provide much needed food support to our 150 partner agencies and the families they serve.
“This year’s Summer of a Million Meals campaign didn’t raise a million meals, it didn’t raise two million meals, it raised THREE million meals,” says Dave Richins, CEO & President of United Food Bank. “It’s exciting to see all of our supporters rally together this summer and triple our meal goal. We are so grateful to each and every one of you that donated, we couldn’t do it without you.”
Through our Summer of a Million Meals campaign, we raised enough for 3,093,830 meals. We are so grateful, to the individuals that donated, to Channel 12 News for their partnership and to the companies and organizations that helped and donated.
