Help Yourself is a self-sustaining food purchase cooperative, designed to serve that next level of need after an emergency or crises. Even as low-income households move toward self-sufficiency, many still find themselves with very limited financial resources. For them, it’s hard to see beyond next week, and budgeting resources to maximize their food-buying dollars is a weekly challenge. Using United Food Bank’s local buying power, we are able to offer 8lbs of fresh meats, 5lbs of fresh produce & fruit and 5lbs of dry goods at a buy-in cost of $17 cash or EBT. The program is offered on Fridays from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM and open to anyone who would like to take advantage of the savings.
Help Yourself is held at our Volunteer Annex at:
358 E. Javelina Ave
Mesa, AZ 85210
