United Food Bank is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that has been providing hunger relief to people in need in the East Valley and eastern Arizona for more than 35 years. We collect, acquire, store and distribute food and related commodities to more than 220 partner agencies that serve more than 228,000 people in need across more than 19,500 square miles. Last year, United Food Bank distributed almost 24 million pounds of food providing nearly 19.5 million meals to our neighbors in need.

United Food Bank serves people in need of food assistance within the counties of Eastern Maricopa, Gila and Pinal, and Southern Navajo and Apache.
Current Hunger Statistics:
- Arizona ranks 12th in the nation for food insecurity and 6th in the country for children who are food insecure. One out of every 5 Arizona residents is hungry.
- Overall food insecurity in United Food Bank’s service areas ranges from a low of 13.9% of the population in Pinal County up to 25.5% in Apache County.
- According to a recent study, 33 percent of residents in the East Valley and eastern Arizona who are food insecure are likely ineligible for federal nutrition assistance under current program requirements.
