Annual School Food Drive Competition

Our Annual Student Food Drive brings in much needed food and cash to United Food Bank, as well as hunger awareness in our community. Over the years it has become one of our primary sources of privately donated food.  We are proud to say that nearly 84 schools participated this year and collected over 162,000 pounds of food and over $3,400!

Trophies are given out to the schools that collect the most pounds of food per student. Winners are found in each category such as elementary, high school, alternative, etc. A trophy is also given to the overall winning school from all categories.

Get your school involved!
There are many different ways to coordinate your school food drive. Often times, getting a group or classroom behind the idea makes your food drive much more successful. Consider planning the food drive with your student council, service clubs, or even with a particular class. In any case, you must get a teacher or faculty member to help you.

Next, fill out this form and you will be contacted by our Food Drive Coordinator. Or email fooddrives@unitedfoodbank.org . We will provide you with posters, flyers, food drive bins, and even a cash donation collection box. The rest is up to you! Get as creative as you like- feel free to  look through our Success Suggestions  to get some ideas.
